Objectives for Graduates of the Medical Doctor Educational Programme:


1. Gain comprehensive and systematic knowledge of fundamental principles in biomedical, behavioral, social, and clinical sciences.


2. Develop skills to consult patients, assess clinical cases, schedule examinations, make differential diagnoses, discuss disease management plans, provide first aid and resuscitation in emergencies, prescribe medications, and perform practical procedures.


3. Enhance communication skills in a medical context, apply ethical and legal principles in practice, and evaluate psychological and social aspects of a patient’s illness.


4. Apply evidence-based principles, effectively use information technology, and integrate scientific principles and biomedical knowledge into medical practice and research.


5. Promote health, engage in public health issues, and work efficiently within the healthcare system.


6. Cultivate skills in self-responsibility, autonomy, professionalism, ethics, scientific research, and global medical practice.

 

Prerequisites for Admission:


1. A full general education or equivalent certificate, passing relevant unified national examinations, and meeting English language competency with a minimum of 85% + 1.


2. Entrants under the Law of Georgia on Higher Education who demonstrate English proficiency at the ALTE B2 level can study in the programme without passing the Unified National Examinations, per Eastern European University's language competence rules.


3. Certified physicians can enroll in the programme twice a year, following the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Georgia's timeframe and mandatory procedures.


4. Enrollment of Georgian citizens or foreign nationals recognized from foreign higher education institutions follows the Ministry's rules and timeframe.
